Thank You

Thank you to a residents daughter who brought us a thank you card and Betty's Biscuits. We really appreciate the kind gesture.

Day In The Sun

We had an enjoyable day in the sunshine, we took Mabel, Wilna, and Owen for a lovley stroll around the gardens at the Thornton Theatre. There were lots of beautiful flowers, we really enjoyed the fresh air and all the residents enjoyed their afternoon.

Pampering Day

Bowerfield House enjoyed a pampering day this week, hair, nails polished and hand massages while listening to some spa relaxation music, we all need me time now and then. All residents felt relaxed and chilled out. Later in the afternoon Charlie treated staff and residents to ice cream we all enjoyed and welcomed the ice lollies on such a hot day.

Ancillary Day at Ashfield

Today we celebrated ancillary day with our team at Ashfield Court . A lovely cake and fun afternoon for staff and our residents, plus a gift from MMCG.

The first look at MMCG’s Lifestyle Programme

MMCG will shortly be rolling out its Lifestyle Programme across the group, the overarching goal of which is to provide flexible, personalised lifestyle opportunities to meet the needs of the mind, body, and soul of every individual in our homes.

Whether it’s through community engagement, nurturing special interests or developing links with innovative partners, dedicated Lifestyle teams in each home will be empowered to tailor their programme to meet the specific, unique needs of those living there.

Lace Hill Manor, new home currently being built to launch in February 2022

We are delighted to confirm that we are developing nine new care homes as part of our ambitious new build programme that’s already well underway. The current pipeline extends over the next three to four years with several homes in planning and development phases. Now that Windsor Court has recently opened, we have now moved onto our latest home build in Buckingham, Lace Hill Manor which is set to open in February 2022 – this will be a £9.5 million spend and will offer state of the art living in luxury surroundings.

MMCG Conference lays the foundations for future success

MMCG’s recent Leadership Conference was deemed a great success and the time and input of all who attended was greatly appreciated.

Many of those who joined were keen to have the opportunity to share their voice and be more involved with the renewed focus and direction group. Other key themes included teamwork, collaboration, and recognition of the vast opportunities available for staff to build their skills.

Opening of Windsor Court

Recently we saw our latest home, Windsor Court, finally opening its doors in July! After months of hard work and £8 million of construction, we were finally able to welcome visitors, guests and those who have chosen to move in with us.

It’s been so long in the making that we can’t quite believe that it’s finally here - it’s safe to say that we still have our work cut out for us to keep everything in check and make sure it stays running as smooth as possible.

Jo Stokes becomes Ambassador for Health Education England

This month we have also been celebrating the success of Jo Stokes, a member of our Support Team and a Trainee Nursing Associate, who has been selected to become an Ambassador for Health Education England! Helping to support the future and current generations with their health and social care career choices, Jo will be working alongside other trainee and qualified nursing associates (TNAs/NAs) to support HEE, and hopefully “bridge the gap” between registered nurses and other support workers in the healthcare profession.

Welcome to the team Laura and Daniel

Last month we were delighted to welcome two new starters to the group’s senior management team – Laura Finlay and Daniel Turner-Naylor.

Laura joined us as Group Head of Talent Acquisition at the start of July. She brings to MMCG her 15 years of experience in both in-house and agency-led talent acquisition roles and is extremely passionate about improving both the colleague and candidate experience.
