Arts and Crafts Sessions and Monthly Activities

This month we have been doing memory games with residents looking at famous actors and musicians etc from the past. We have been discussing about those people and working on key historical figures. It has worked well chatting in a group as well as one to one.

Boxing Classes at Parksprings

Boxing classes have been great fun and as the residents will tell you at Parksprings Care Home we are fighting the Covid-19. Great exercise and such fun. We will beat this!

Employee of the Month Tree at White Rose Lodge

White Rose Lodge have created their own employee of the month tree. Residents, staff and families can nominate staff throughout the month with all the comments received going on the tree. 

At the end of each month the employee of the month will be announced by the Manager, Adam Janeway. 

 

International Nurses Day at Bowerfield House

For International Nurses Day, residents were asked about how they felt about nurses and encouraged to talk about what makes them special. Residents then created a board to add all the wonderful comments on that we could display for everyone to see. The Nurse on shift received a bottle of red wine and a lovely photo from a resident.  





 

Free cake and drinks for Emergency Services staff

You would like to invite 999 Emergency Services for free coffee and cake from 2pm - 3pm from Monday 1st - Friday 5th June at Bowerfield House and Bowerfield Court.

Home Baked Treats

A Big Thank You

Here at Monread Lodge Care Home we have received so many donations from the local community and we are so thankful to everyone. During these very difficult times that we are all in, we are certainly feeling the love from the community. Thank you. 

Flowers From Oakgrove School

We have received some flowers from one of our connection Schools; Oakgrove Primary.  These flowers have been sent to nurture by our residents and will be used to expand our colourful garden over the coming months.   

Beautiful Flowers For Kents Hill

Beautiful flowers delivered from Canada thanking the staff for their hard work and are taking pride of place in the reception area for all to see. 

VE Day Celebrations at Kents Hill

Fiona Harrison; a long term friend of Kents Hill Care Home visited us in the week leading up to VE Day.  Fiona sang in the garden, social distancing from us and the residents and many listened from their bedroom or lounge windows.  A great afternoon had by all.
