Comic Relief
For the second consecutive year, Allingham House joined to the celebrations of Red Nose Day, organising a Fundraising Coffee Morning. Residents, staff and families joined together on this very special event. I would like to thank everyone for their generosity, helping people across the UK and around the world live free from poverty, violence and discrimination, and supporting people with their mental health.

Mother's Day Preparation
Last week we prepared our home ready for Mothering Sunday
Hats for Brain Tumour Research 👒👒👒
Last week we gathered at our artist’s table to put our brushes to paper and design our own hats, in a nod to Wear a Hat day in support of Brain Tumour Research.
Whilst mulling over the colours and swirling our brushes, we discussed the important work that Brain Tumour Research does, the impact they have , and how these issues have affected all of our lives in some way or another. 🎨🎨🎨
🔴 RED NOSE DAY 🔴
We had a smashing time drumming up support for Comic Relief: by taking part in Red Nose Day!
Staff were encouraged to wear red in exchange for a donation, whilst we all donned our red noses and spent the day making each other laugh - because laughter really can heal the soul. We are proud to be able to contribute to great causes such as this.
Time to Move
We all know that movement is so good for us and the lifestyle co-ordinators at Buckingham House love to get as many people as they can moving with some arm chair exercises. Making movement fun is something the team do well.

Chair Exercise
At Knights Court we like to encourage physical as well as mental wellbeing and regularly engage the people living with us in light chair based exercise.
The benefits are immense:
* Increased flexibility and strengthening of muscles
* Helps increase circulation
* Reduces risks of falls because chair based
exercise helps improve posture and balance
* Helps increase confidence and self-esteem.
We are delighted that everyone looks forward to this activity.
Happy St Patricks Day
Nothing quite says Happy St Patricks Day then enjoying a lovely Guinness or Baileys which the people living at Buckingham House got to do on the 17th. The home was decorated with some lovely people from the home helping us get in the spirit.
Mother's Day Preparations
At Alexandra Court we had early preparations ready for Mother's Day

Chloe's Mobile Farm visits Brunel
Today we had a visit from Chloe's Mobile Farm. Chloe brought along some ponies, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks and her dog Nelly.
Everyone really enjoyed the visit, and we even managed to bring one of the ponies into our home to meet our residents who were not able to join us in the garden.
A really wonderful afternoon.

Seaside Fun
Howgate, couldn't resist a bit of seaside fun !
