Boonies Pet Therapy

We can’t get enough of Boonies Pet Therapy. Twice a month different animals come to join us and visit the wonderful people who live here at River View. This always sparks wonderful reminiscing stories. Having grown up with horses this lady just had to spring out of her chair to hug and kiss Kevin the Pony. She had the best smile from ear to ear all day.

Tips For The Heat

As we have an adverse weather warning the heat is getting to many of us, however we remain positive and continue to smile. Keep a thought to the people working in heat.

There are things you can do to help:

1. Keep curtains closed and lights off when possible,

2. Wear a sun hat and sun lotion when out and about,

3. Wet wipes and cold flannels across the back of your neck

4. Keep your fluid intake high!

Top tips for hydrating foods:

1. Cucumber - contains about 96% water

2. Iceberg Lettuce is about 96% water also

The Milk Barn Visit

Some of our residents went on a wee impromtu trip to The Milk Barn for ice cream on Sunday 3rd July. It was a lovely day so Aaron and Sam thought it would be good to visit the Barn . The residents loved it, just outside Falkirk set in the countryside The Barn is a great place to visit. Inside there are pictures and information of how they make the Ice Cream and its journey to the counter. As you can see by the smiling faces the trip was a great success

Parksprings Project

Parksprings 3 musketeers, our new project to keep busy and make a difference . The Summer house went up when Covid first started and was purchased with money we raised to replace the old worn out band stand . We have since fund raised and bought nice furniture for inside with plants and lights. We have some link which the maintenance team are going to lay, but the outside was looking a wee bit sad and needed some protection against the weather elements so once we all had a wee chat and the 3 musketeers volunteered to help out . We also have wee Harry and George wanting to lend a hand.
