A lovely surprise courtesy of Royal Healthcare who sent us a fantastic Indian buffet meal for the Cavendish Court  team. Lots of lovely spices and totally tasty. Enjoyed all  and a big thank you for your kind thoughts.

A big thank you to Oliver Dunn local chocolatier from Disley who has dropped off some chocolate keys for the staff at Bowerfield House. Very lovely and thoughtful treat for our key workers.

This month we have been doing memory games with residents looking at famous actors and musicians etc from the past. We have been discussing about those people and working on key historical figures. It has worked well chatting in a group as well as one to one.

Boxing classes have been great fun and as the residents will tell you at Parksprings Care Home we are fighting the Covid-19. Great exercise and such fun. We will beat this!

White Rose Lodge have created their own employee of the month tree. Residents, staff and families can nominate staff throughout the month with all the comments received going on the tree. 

At the end of each month the employee of the month will be announced by the Manager, Adam Janeway. 

On the 75th Anniversary of VE day we had a birthday celebration for Patricia White one of the resident's at Bowerfield House. Patricia had a wonderful day celebrating and received cards and letters from her family.

For International Nurses Day, residents were asked about how they felt about nurses and encouraged to talk about what makes them special. Residents then created a board to add all the wonderful comments on that we could display for everyone to see. The Nurse on shift received a bottle of red wine and a lovely photo from a resident.  





 

Our residents at Hope Green had a lovely afternoon making cards for their families, which they got to colour in themselves. This is one of the ways we are making sure our residents are happy and still in contact with their loved ones.
