Halloween Window Display at Cavendish

Residents and staff had a great time decorating our window in preparation for our Halloween party that we had on Friday. Residents really enjoyed our spooky celebrations.

Cheese and Biscuits

Always a welcome addition to the day, our residents love Cheese and Biscuits.

Bowerfield House's Scarecrow

Bowerfield House had a special visitor last week, our lovely and friendly scarecrow that we named Edward. All the residents loved our scarecrow and we proudly placed him outside at the main entrance to greet all of our visitors.

We talked about Halloween, witch craft and bonfire night plus Barry gave us a history lesson which we all found very interesting.

We had a lovely day and we all looked forward to our party day on Friday where we dressed up as witches and had some fireworks.

Amber Court's Halloween Preparation

When we announced that we will be having a Halloween party in Amber Court, our residents and staff were very excited for it. We started preparing for the event through organizing a small activity with the residents and staff by carving pumpkins and making decorations. To be more festive for Halloween, we started to decorate the home as scary as possible. We decided it would be more fun to use one of the decorations as a representation of one of our staff, our maintenance, George.

Homemade Lemonade

Our residents made homemade lemonade last week. We squeezed fresh lemons and mixed the juice with water ice and sugar. We all really enjoyed this and they felt hydrated and refreshed.

Greek Afternoon

We had lots of memories whilst sampling food and drink from the Agean . It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all.

Halloween at Abbey View

Here at Abbey View we really like to get into the Halloween spirit.

Autumn Lanterns

We enjoyed decorating lanterns in lovely autumn colours to look like the leaves on the trees outside. Putting an electronic candle in them really made the colours pop!

Halloween Party

Bowerfield House had a great day celebrating Halloween. We had a firework display and sparkles overseen by our maintenance man George, residents and staff watched from the conservatory. We made some ghosts by decorating some milk containers, drawing faces on them and putting glow sticks inside them, they looked fabulous, very effective . A great end to a fantastic busy week at Bowerfield House.

Friendships

It's great to see friendships at Hope Green and it's always a joy to bring the men together to chat, play games, and eat lunch. Today we explored some new books too which we loved chatting about. Topics of particular interest were The Titanic and The Suffragettes!
