We had great fun making bonfire biscuits at Cavendish Court. We decorated our biscuits like fireworks using icing sugar and sprinkles, we had great fun getting messy and enjoyed eating our handiwork with a cup of tea mmmm delicious!

Bonfire Night at Carmel Lodge

Our residents really enjoyed watching the garden fireworks on Bonfire Night at Carmel Lodge. We had a lovely night enjoyed by all residents and staff.

Trick Or Treat at Ashmead

Trick or Treat was in full swing during Halloween at Ashmead. The Activities team dressed appropriately and toured the whole home offering chocolate and biscuit bars on a specially decorated mobile trolley.

Cedar Court Residents created a lovely pair of 'Guys' for the Cranleigh Bonfire competition!

There is no end to the talents of our residents at Cedar Court, they take on every challenge set them!  They were very keen to take part in the Cranleigh competition for the best 'Guy' to be thrown on the local bonfire. Our residents who are living with dementia created the beautiful artwork with paper spinning wheels, which they all thoroughly enjoyed.  The 'Guys' were created by some of the people living at Cedar Court, assisted by Kathryn our activities assistant. A big thank you goes out to Kathryn’s parents for making the Paper Mache heads.

Homemade Vegetable Soup

Home cooking at its best! The residents made a fantastic homemade vegetable soup. They prepared all the vegetables, peeling carrots, chopping potatoes, pressing garlic and popping peas. Everyone took their time and the vegetables soon piled up in the cooking pot. The soup was delicious and was enjoyed for dinner.

Pamper Day

Everyone loves a pamper day. The people living at The Hawthorns enjoyed a manicure recently, which involved, filing, nail polish and a relaxing hand massage.

Much of the enjoyment comes from the chatting and getting together,  just like you would in other salons.

HALLOWEEN AT PARKVIEW HOUSE

Not a holiday that those who live here are used to celebrating, but our Halloween celebrations turned out to be such a fun filled day.

Parkview House was on fire for Halloween, with a singing sensation entertainer giving off Phantom of the Opera vibes, fantastic decorations and our staff arrived in some great fancy dress costumes for our residents party

We are OOMPH! qualified!

We are very pleased to announce that our Lifestyle Co-ordinators, Stanley and Kirsty are now qualified to develop and lead exercise classes, after completing the 'Exercise Leadership' course with Oomph! Wellness.

Halloween Party

Things got OOOKY SPOOKY here at Abingdon Court, as we all gathered for some Halloween celebrations!

We hosted a 'best dressed' competition for the staff, with the winner being chosen by those who live here - there were some strong contenders this year! This happened alongside some Halloween games, a spooky punch to drink and plenty of trick or treats to go around!

Pumpkin People Making

In the spirit of Halloween, we collected a large array of pumpkins so we could decorate the lounge ready for our Halloween.

We had a selection of stickers with various personalities to bring our pumpkins to life!

This was light-hearted, fun, and enjoyed by all
