Message of Appreciation
Dear Sandra and the Hope Green team
We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated all you will be doing for all the residents in your care at this especially challenging time.
It must be worrying for you ( as it is for everyone).
Live Streamed Easter Service for Troutbeck Care Home
Easter was celebrated with residents coming together to listen to the Easter service live streamed from St Margarets Church, Ilkley. In the afternoon we had a prize quiz and afternoon tea, which was enjoyed by all.
Some of our residents were able to speak to family via face time or telephone and also posted Easter cards they had created.
Easter Flower Display at Troutbeck
Residents at Troutbeck Care Home in Ilkley enjoyed making paper flowers to create an indoor garden area, these proved to be very popular. We used them to make a lovey Easter display that residents could enjoy in the garden room.
Kind Donation for Howgate House
We had a surprise visit from the lovely people from the Ummah Welfare Trust a fabulous charity. They have kindly delivered additional PPE supplies to the staff at Howgate House. This is fantastic initiative from this charity and we would like to say a massive thank you to Adam and his team for supporting the care home sector and for the masks and gloves.

Thank you Thorpe Primary School
Thank you to the children at Thorpe Primary School for the wonderful picture we received at Howgate House. It brought a big smile to everyone.
Handmade Bracelets and Gifts
We are rapidly learning new skills at Windmill Court to ensure we can keep in touch with friends and family. As well as taking a traditional route of sending letters we have mastered face time which has provided plenty of laughs along the way. We have also been making beautiful gifts and cards to send to family and friends.
Birthday Surprise
One of our resident's granddaughter's was turning 40 this month and her partner really wanted her grandma to wish her Happy Birthday. We decided with the help of her partner and our resident rather than just call we would face time her as a lovely surprise and what a surprise it was, it really made Amy's day.
Keep Smiling
We received this beautiful knitted heart from Karen and her brother as a thank you to all staff members looking after the residents here at Furze Hill Lodge Care Home, particularly their mum Angela.
You told us to keep smiling Karen and we are – knowing that there is so much love, appreciation and support from family members really motivates us all as we continue to care for all of our wonderful residents.
Teamwork makes the dream work
The Buckingham House team want to show their support for all the essential workers and the NHS.
Thank You to Sewa Day Volunteers
Our local community has responded with so much love and support to us all during these uncertain times and we want to thank you all from everyone at River View.
We are so grateful to Manoj Mistry for picking up the morning newspapers for us whilst our usual delivery service is suspended. It might seem such a small thing to do, but for our staff who would otherwise be called away from the home to go and collect them, it means they can continue to provide care and support for all our residents during such a busy time.
