Remembering

Residents and staff at Windmill Care Centre paused their daily activities and joined together in 2 minutes of silence to remember and honour everyone who has served and lost their lives in conflict.  After this act of remembrance, a delicious selection of home made, beautifully decorated themed cakes were served to everyoneImage removed.

Thank You From Relative

Dear Sandra and your amazing team,

We can never thank you enough for all you did for our mum. When she arrived with you back in March, we were told that mum only had a matter of weeks. We feel that the excellent care you gave mum gave us almost eight months more to share with her. Whenever we asked her how she was, she always answered "I'm okay thanks" and when we asked if she was happy she always answered "yes".

Window Of Opportunity

Cavendish Court are proud to announce the implementation of our new concept "The Window of opportunity". Due to the ongoing COVID 19 restrictions in relation to visitors across the care home environment, we have created the option for multiple family members and friends to visit your loved ones at the same time. In order to arrange a window of opportunity booking via calling the main line and speaking with our lovely FOH team.

Rated Good in all areas by CQC

Abingdon Court are celebrating after being rated Good in all areas during a recent CQC inspection.  As well as thanking the staff for their hard work we want to thank the residents, their friends and families and the local community who continue to support us.

A Brides Wish

One of our residents grand -daughter’s got married and she didn't want her Nanna to miss seeing her in her gorgeous wedding dress so organised a pit stop at the home.  Emma was thrilled to see Katie in her wedding dress it was lovely.

International Day

During these unprecedented times we find ourselves in, we come together on the 10th of September to celebrate International Day.  This Day represents cultural diversity between staff and residents.

We decorated the lounge with flags and balloons to bring the celebration together.  Some talented staff members kept us entertained with traditional dancing.  The Chef and some staff members prepared some traditional foods which was a great highlight to end off the celebration.

A great day was had by all!!

Maria Mallaband and Countrywide Coronavirus Update

Maria Mallaband and Countrywide – keeping our residents safe and connected during Covid-19.

As our teams continue working to keep our residents safe and connected throughout Covid-19, we’re regularly adapting our guidance for visitors in-line with advice from both the government and the Department of Health.

The Wharf Care Home

One of fantastic residents Alan has been leading seated, gentle movement and stretch groups for our lovely residents at The Wharf.  Lilly, one of our carers has been integral in getting everyone together, in place comfortably and ready to start. It was truly amazing to see how fully everyone participated, and there were lots of smiles and cheers throughout.
