Water Painting
Water painting went down a treat this week, everyone gave it a go and was quite taken aback what beautiful pictures were created without having to even use paint. It was such a therapeutic activity that was enjoyed by all.

What a fantastic day we had at the Buckingham County Fair Show on Thursday 1st September.

Greendale Farm Visit
We recently went on a lovely trip to Greendale Farm, looked at all animals, did some shopping in the farm shop and finished off with a well earned cream tea. All had a lovely afternoon.

Fruit Pizzas
We made some fruit pizza using melon for the base and fruit and white chocolate for the toppings. All had lots of fun making them and found them very refreshing to eat in the heat.

Summer Party
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our summer party which had a country hoedown theme. The residents and their families had a lovely day. There was a dog show, games, live music and lots of food and drink including a hog roast.

Lavender Bags
Residents spent the morning making lavender bags today. They stripped the lavender off the plant then filled the lavender bags that had been previously sewn. They loved the smell of lavender, and it reminded them of days they used to spend in their gardens and green houses. The residents were so engaged with the activity and there was lots of reminiscing, chatting and smiles. One of our ladies even enjoyed using the sewing machine again!

National Bow Tie Day
Everyone got involved to celebrate ‘National Bow Tie Day’ at Gateford Hill, dressing up with bow-ties of all different shapes and sizes and making bow-tie shaped biscuits for everyone to enjoy with their afternoon tea.
