Oktoberfest Celebrations
This weekend, the people living with us at Wyndham Hall celebrated Oktoberfest by making Alpine hats and listening and dancing to some traditional Oktoberfest music.
Our residents then had a taster session, trying some German pretzels and non-alcoholic beer.

History Hour: The Blitz
On September 7th 1940, many remember the beginning of the Blitz during the Second World War.
On this day today, we sat together and shared stories of our own and of those we had heard from family and friends. We remembered those who were prominent during those times and reminisced on the experiences we had growing up and watching these events occur.

Forget-Me-Not Flower Garden installation with KEMP Hospice
The Wharf Care Home proudly supporting the Forget-Me-Not Garden 21st - 29th August at Brinton Park. The lovely people at KEMP Hospice based in The Wyre Forest put together incredible collection of uniquely handcrafted Forget-Me-Not Flowers which were available for members of the public to secure a flower in memory of a loved one. National Teddy Bear Day
For National Teddy Bear Day, as a home we decided to donate three brand new teddy bears to a local children's hospital. Before we could do this, we needed to give these wonderful bears a name!

Birthday Box Creations
At Appletree Court, we’re always looking for new ideas to give people living with us small, personalised treats for their birthday
We found some empty boxes and decided to decorate them and fill them with a selection of favourite chocolates and biscuits. As these little treat boxes have proved so popular with everyone, our residents are now making their own boxes to give as special gifts to their family and friends.

Apples Galore
Our apple trees have really bloomed this year and so we decided to make Apple Cake and Apple Crumble

Garden Centre Trip
Some of those living with us at Buckingham House enjoyed a lovely trip out to a local garden centre in Bourne End recently.
In addition to looking at all of the wonderful flowers and plants on display, we enjoyed a cup of tea and delicious slice of cake in their cafe.
