Our Easter activity proved to be a huge success, and our Residents really enjoyed this experience. It was a highly awaited Easter project here at Kents Hill and we were all very excited when the eggs finally arrived! They all started to hatch just after two days, and we now have 9 beautiful little chicks which bring our Residents a lot of joy!

Easter at Cedar Court
To end a month of Easter craft and related activities all communal dining areas were decorated for the Easter Sunday lunch, and as an egg-citing end to Easter the residents were visited by the Cedar Court bunnies offering chocolate eggs or soft desserts to all residents. This was followed by an Easter themed hymn concert. The residents were thrilled to see the arrival of the bunnies and enjoyed their Easter treats. Also, during the morning the winners of the Easter Bonnet competition, which was judged by the Mayor, were awarded their prizes.

Butterfly moments
Taking time to have those special 1-2-1 interactions is invaluable for those living with us. Providing stimulation using a range of products and methods specifically designed to engage those living with dementia creates some real 'butterfly moments'. The butterfly model focusses on delivery emotion-focussed care that connects with people in a dignified, gentle and human way. The 'butterfly moments' we get to share are truly beautiful in so many ways.

The Hawthorns are getting in the Easter spirit. Today the residents made an Easter Tree. They painted and coloured in small Easter eggs which they then hung on a small branch. This is displayed in our newly decorated lounge to start the celebrations

Art Club
The people living at Bridge House are very creative and enjoy their art club. Recently they have been tissue paper hearts and enjoying some mindfulness colouring. All of the artwork can be seen around the home, some people like to have it in their bedrooms or some like to have it displayed around the home for everyone to enjoy.
