Its a good day to BBQ

With the weather being so lovely and warm we wanted to get outside for a BBQ with the people living with us.  There was much food, laughter and a very special guest that joined us.

Up, Up and away....

Over 75 colourful make a wish balloons filled the sky over the Kents Hill, each with a special wish-tag attached from every Resident. We are thrilled to say that some of our balloons travelled as far as Kent (as notified by the local who found the balloon on their farm) Our Residents absolutely loved this creative activity and let’s just hope all those wishes come true! Thank you to our Lifestyle Team for making this such a memorable experience.

Tie Dye Time

We were looking for new ideas for what we can sell out our upcoming spring fayre and we decided that we would try new activity.  We got some scarfs and the people living with using the tie dye process created some beautiful and unique designs.  The final products are so lovely and we cant wait to display and sell them. The activity was a success and everyone cant wait to make some more.

National Lemonade Day

It was national lemonade day this week and we wanted to give the people living with us a chance to try all different types of lemonades.  We wanted to know which were favourite and the kitchen staff and team were happy to be on hand to listen to the feedback.

The Mayor comes to Kents Hill Care Home

Over the weekend we held a special event at Kents Hill Care Home and we planted a tree in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee! The Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Mohammed Khan, joined us for the event and personally helped to plant the tree and held conversations with our Residents. It was a beautiful day, enjoyed by all our Residents and the team and we are very grateful to the Mayor for taking his time and joining us all for such special day.

Flower Arranging

This week in Cedar Court we had a donation of some flowers and the residents took part in a flower arranging activity.  The residents who took part created some wonderful floral displays to take back to their rooms and enjoyed the creativity of the activity.

Queens 96th Birthday and St George's Day

Last week we celebrated both the Queens 96th Birthday and St Georges Day at Cedar Court with entertainment in the garden with Lauren from Mack Entertainment.  We were graced with beautiful sunshine and enjoyed birthday cake whilst Lauren entertained us with songs and a very patriotic Happy Birthday to Her Majesty and God Save the Queen.   During a recent art and craft session we had decorated crowns, which will form the centrepiece for the Queens Jubilee in June.  Also, in attendance we had our very o

Singing at Ashmead

The Ashmead residents received a treat from an entertainer on Friday 22nd April. They enjoyed songs dating from the 50’s through to the 80’s, with the entertainer dressing to match the era of his songs. 

Easter Cakes at Water Royd Care Home

The talented chefs that work at Water Royd Care Home couldnt wait to show off their skills by creating a variety of different cakes and desserts for the all the people at our home to try.  Not only did these look good, they tasted incredible too.

Our lovely residents enjoyed some live entertainment outside in the sunshine with a talented couple who put on and outstanding performance. They sang a large range of different song choices for the people living with us, which was really enjoyed.  There was singing, dancing, laughter, sunshine and refreshments which all made a wonderful afternoon for all the came along.
