Birthday Celebrations at Furze Hill

Birthday celebrations were in full swing to celebrate the special day of our lovely resident Angela.

Staff and residents joined together for a special birthday afternoon tea with cake, presents and lots of singing which was enjoyed by everyone.

By Special Delivery to River View

Local residents Frieda and Jerome Jones have really put a big smile on the faces of everyone in the home today with their fantastic selection of artwork received by post this morning.

5 year old Frieda and her big brother Jerome aged 8 have written a letter to our residents and sent these lovely pictures which we are displaying in the home for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you Frieda and Jerome from everyone at River View.

Stay Safe Everyone

Astor Court and Lodge on Lamb Street, Cramlington have been busy during the month creating little messages and cards to send to their relatives.

Some of our residents wanted to send messages to their family today, to put their mind at ease so that they knew we were thinking of them and happy and safe. We spent a few hours drawing pictures or writing cards and then took some photo's of them with a little message for their loved ones to put their mind at ease and send off on email. The residents had a great time being creative.

Sock Bunnies for Easter at Bowerfield Court

Easter celebrations are underway at Bowerfield Court and lots of arts and craft sessions are planned. The residents made sock bunnies this week.

April Events at Clarendon Court

This is a very difficult time for everyone, and we'd like to thank all of our residents and families for their support during this time, and an extra-special thank you to all of our staff across the board who have continued to work tirelessly to serve the needs of our residents.

Thank you the NHS

Here at Rose Lodge Care Home on Carer's Way, Cobblers Lane, Newton Aycliffe we have always prided ourselves on being part of the local community and we were delighted to support our NHS for the 8pm clap for the NHS on Thursday 26th March at 8pm.

Our residents asked if we could have a sign outside the home so that the NHS workers knew how much they meant to us and how much we appreciated all they are doing for the community and our loved ones and a sign was created.

Letters and Pictures from Sedgefield Primary School

During these uncertain times the community spirit in Sedgefield is certainly alive and well and at it’s best.  Residents of Willowdene Care Home on Lizards Lane, Sedgefield were delighted to receive a very special package from the children of Sedgefield Primary School. The gorgeous pictures and letters sent from the school really cheered up our residents when they received their letter in the morning post.

Mother's Day at Croft House Care Home

Reverend Shackleton from Gawthorpe’s local community church, who works very closely with the home donated 60 bunches of bright yellow daffodils tied with gold ribbon on Friday 20th March for all our lovely residents at Croft House Care Home.

We put them into vases and gave them out around the home. We put some in residents bedrooms to brighten up their rooms and the rest in communal lounges and dining rooms for everyone to see and enjoy. Our ladies were so pleased with them, one of them said "they make the home look very spring like."

National Wear a Hat Day

Hope Green Care Home celebrated National Wear a Hat Day last week.

A great fun day to cheer everyone up.

Advice Hearts

At Hope Green we asked all residents what advice they would give to the younger generation.

We received some lovely advice and also got a lot of funny ones which really did lift the mood at this awful time.
