Dear Cavendish Court



I write to thank the staff at Cavendish Court in Alderley Edge.

December is going to be a fun filled month of Christmas celebrations at White Rose Lodge Care Home in Bridlington. Click on the below link to see what we have planned. 

Residents enjoyed looking through old pictures of the local areas, old soaps and spinning tops. A lovely afternoon reminiscing.  

Julie our activities lady has made this fabulous cake as a roast dinner. It's amazing with the detail of the vegetables, roast potatoes and the chicken more than the wow factor. Troutbeck residents loved pouring chocolate gravy over the cake that was in a cake gravy pot, can you believe it!

It's an exciting time of year at Howgate House and this year we wanted to do something a little special for the relatives of the home.  We created a lovely backdrop and photographed the residents against it to make Christmas Cards to send out from the home.

We are thrilled that our visitor pod is up and running at Belmont House.

We were delighted to support our local School with breakfast donations to ensure no child goes hungry during and donated 25 bags containing cereal bar's, sachet of porridge, pasta tubs, small bags of raisins , carton of Ribena  and some crayons and drawing bo

Heeley Bank celebrated "Bonfire Night" with a party like no other. With lights, Parkin cake, music and some sparklers. It was an amazing night

Christmas has arrived at Water Royd. We have Covid friendly decorations up in the home, but we still wanted the residents to enjoy a Christmas tree. We thought long and hard about this and decided to utilise our fabulous outdoor space.

Christmas is a special time for everyone and this year will be very different for so many families.  We wanted to send the Relatives of Water Royd a Christmas hug and had these designed by a local firm.

The people living at Willow Bank made banners and poppies to decorate the home for Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day. Everyone were very moved when watching the remembrance service and those that could stood for the two minute silence.

Everyone at Bowerfield House wishes a very Happy Birthday to Vera - the lady with the warmest of smiles. This month Vera wore her pyjamas for Children in Need and pink for Breast Cancer Now. She also loved wearing her 1950s outfit for our party. Happy 87th Birthday Vera!

Bowerfield House partied like it was the 1950s! All the ladies thoroughly enjoyed dressing up in their skirts and headscarves, with everyone enjoying the music and buffet. We all definitely rocked around the clock!

With Christmas time fast approaching, residents and staff a like can't wait for some jolly time.

White Rose Lodge like many other homes have put up the decorations early, following the government guidelines. This year has been hard for us all, staff, residents, and families,

Our wonderful Donna McDermot, CP at Bowerfield Court, is cutting her hair to raise money for The Christie and residents at both Bowerfield Court and Bowerfield House. She will be sending her hair to a charity that makes wigs for those going through chemotherapy.
