We were delighted to received some lovely letters from Sedgefield Primary school for our residents which is so thoughtful of them.  the residents love reading them and it really cheers us up to know you are all thinking of us during this time.

We love celebrating birthdays at the home and when two of our gorgeous ladies celebrated their birthday at the home, our Chef Alex based these delicious cakes for our two birthday ladies Anne and Mary.  They were delighted to share the cakes amongst their friends at Willowde

With the weather getting a little colder we have started to do a lot more activities indoors and in October enjoyed such activities as a Domino competition (the ladies were more competitive than the gents), painting little houses in the Brambles unit and sun catchers in the lodge to brighten

We had a lovely Halloween at Ashfield Court.  We decorated the home and Chef made some spooky cup cakes for us to enjoy.  From us all at Ashfield Court we would like to wish you a very happy Halloween.

Craft day this October for our lovely residents at Croft House Care Home and we made these beauties, they look amazing in the dark.

Turns out, pumpkin carving can be quite hard work! So the residents did the seeds, then let Della do all the hard work before they got creative

There has been a lot of Halloween activity at Barnes Court in October.  We have enjoyed baking spooky ghost biscuits, dressing up and having our faces painted for the Halloween party and enjoying some delicious treats which were donated by out local Family Shopper.  Thank you so much.

Many of our residents at Garden Hill used to be a dab hand in the kitchen.  Activities have changed quite a bit since lockdown but one of the residents favourite activities is home baking and they decided to make their own apple cake.  They mixed the ingredients for the base, chopp

Halloween week ended at Heeley Bank with a big Halloween party! With games, sweets and great music everyone had so much fun. Two very lucky residents got to be covered in toilet paper to become living mummy's. 

A great session of movement to music with pom-poms and scarves followed by a lovely time together discussing the joy of babies as we held the therapy dolls and took care of them.
