Thorntree Mews is definitely feeling the love. Our relatives are amazing .We received this lovely donation of chocolate for all the staff as a Thank you for looking after our residents so well.

We would like to announce that White Rose Lodge has been officially nominated for a Care Home of the Year in the annual MMCG and Countrywide Care Awards.

We are delighted to present our entry into the MMCG and Countrywide Easter competition created by our brilliant Chef John at the home.

If this is not a winning entry I don't know what is. Hasn't he done an incredible job?

We would like to thank all the staff and visitors for all their support with our Easter raffle we raised £121 for our residents funds.

Taylors of Harrogate have kindly donated this wonderful selection of Yorkshire Tea to be one of our raffle prizes for our next Garden Party. Let's hope the weather is as generous. 

Now the sunny weather has started to arrive we have had our green fingered residents out planting flowers in the patio garden to add some colour and happiness for all. Gardening is one of the activities at the home the residents love and now they are getting out into the garden more they are

There was lots of Easter activity in the home this year. We started with arts and crafts and making our own bonnets and then on Easter Sunday one of the team dressed up as the Easter bunny and delivered our eggs for us. We had a lovely buffet in the afternoon with some party games with

Joy and Jade have been putting their Oomph exercises into practice today with our residents on Oak. They played 60’s and 70’s music starting off gently before finishing with a bit of Tina Turner.

Over Easter we made some Easter bonnets at Astor Court and each resident decided on the design they wanted to create and then made the bonnet by using the supplies we had in house. We think they did a terrific job.

Tea parties were enjoyed by everyone for the Queens birthday. Residents enjoyed singing the national anthem and waving their flags proudly.

We had a lovely time celebrating the Queens birthday in the sunshine, our residents enjoyed ice cream treats with music and games.

Yesterday we did some planting of seeds for the residents to watch grow.

We are so excited at Clarendon Court that at long last we can welcome families in for our first post Covid Residents/Relatives meeting. We are all ready to welcome everyone with cake and wine. Here's to the first of many get togethers!

This week in Cedar Court we had a donation of some flowers and the residents took part in a flower arranging activity.  The residents who took part created some wonderful floral displays to take back to their rooms and enjoyed the creativity of the activity.

Last week we celebrated both the Queens 96th Birthday and St Georges Day at Cedar Court with entertainment in the garden with Lauren from Mack Entertainment.  We were graced with beautiful sunshine and enjoyed birthday cake whilst Lauren entertained us with

The Ashmead residents received a treat from an entertainer on Friday 22nd April. They enjoyed songs dating from the 50’s through to the 80’s, with the entertainer dressing to match the era of his songs.
