We celebrated Alice's 105th Birthday at Troutbeck. Alice was still doing yoga at 100 years old. Congratulations to Alice on such a marvellous age. 

Who loves our bright and colourful spring notice board? This will definitely bring the sunshine indoors for us all to see. 

We decided today we would have a day of imagination art; I gave the residents numerous items to use whilst using their imagination to create their very own artwork.

It's fantastic the ideas that can spring from the mind of our amazing Activities Coordinator. Katrina found some old cards and they were reworked into beautiful words. The people we care for expressed their thoughts on what made them happy. 

Here at Hope Green we love to celebrate everyone's birthday. We like to ask everyone to choose what they would like to do for their big day.

An enjoyable and celebrated occasion was held at Ashmead Care Centre on 1st March 2021 for St David’s Day. The theme was Rugby and prior to the day itself, residents were encouraged to make their own Welsh Love Spoon (pictured), an explained of which is below:-

Following on from making daffodils, our residents have worked hard in making this lovely spring meadow for everyone to enjoy and brighten up our days and which Eileen is very proudly showing off. 

Spring Bulb Planting, everyone really enjoyed this activity at Troutbeck. 

We had a lovely Valentine's Day here at The Moors, with residents drawing hearts, making cards and having a lovely lunch with the tables decorated beautifully. Our favourite activity was passing round the balloon and whoever caught it shouted out something they loved.

What a beautiful morning in Manorhey garden, looking for our furry friends the squirrels for their daily morning visit. Spring is almost definitely on its way. 

We at Highfield enjoyed Valentine’s Day with lovely music, karaoke, dance, and a little tea party with variety of Valentine cupcakes. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and can’t wait for our next celebrations.

Happy times at Hope Green as our residents have regular Skype calls with their loved ones. This ladies was extra special as it was Valentine's Day. 

The first of our daffodils almost completed and ready to make a daffodil field. 

Today at Bowerfield House we recognised Ash Wednesday, the first day of lent. As we were unable to attend Mass in person we watched in live online instead.

The residents enjoyed making pizzas today but they enjoyed eating them more!

We are double celebrating pancake day at Abingdon Court this year!  The people living in the home got an early treat with the activities team who went around with their amazing pancake trolley full with a choice of toppings and it went down a treat.

We all love a bit of Bingo here at Abingdon court and we have found one that has a little twist.  The bingo we found uses images as well as description which is more engaging for all.
