The Happiness Programme launches at Lace Hill Manor
On Monday 13th October, Lace Hill Manor Care Home held a Happiness Party. We were joined by both John, the founder of The Happiness Programme, and students from Lace Hill Academy to celebrate the ongoing impact of The Happiness Programme, an innovative Interactive Light Therapy tool for residents! The Happiness Programme is an interactive light therapy tool designed by UK-based Social-Ability to bring joy and connection to people living in care. The event showcased how this cutting-edge smart projector can transform the daily lives of residents, particularly those living with dementia and other cognitive challenges. It was great to see those living with us and the students from our local school come together for a session of fun and laughter, as you can see in the fantastic photos that have been captured. The Happiness Programme has been shown to boost mood, reduce agitation, and increase social connection, including for those who are nursed in bed or may otherwise struggle to join group activities. Therefore, it was great to showcase it in our home. Thank you to everyone who came, it was a morning full of fun and smiles!
