A gallery like no other at Claremont Manor
Claremont Manor Celebrates International Artists Day with Resident Art Exhibition in Dawlish.
On Saturday, October 25th, Claremont Manor in Dawlish marked International Artists Day with a pop-up exhibition that turned the Bistro into a stunning gallery space. The event showcased the incredible creativity of two talented residents, Jean Everett and Teddy Reitzema, and gave everyone a chance to enjoy their work up close.
Jean Everett’s display featured intricate textiles and mixed-media pieces, inspired by nature and woodland themes. Her craftsmanship and attention to detail were clear in every frame, with earthy tones and layered textures creating a truly unique collection.
Teddy Reitzema brought a different dimension to the exhibition with bold portrait sketches and expressive figurative art, reflecting years of experience as both an artist and teacher. Visitors also enjoyed browsing Teddy’s art book, which highlighted a lifetime of creative exploration.
Residents, staff, and family members spent time admiring the artwork, chatting about techniques, and sharing stories behind the pieces. The relaxed setting made it easy for everyone to connect over creativity and appreciate the skills that have been honed over many years.
Events like this are a great example of how Claremont Manor supports engaging activities for residents in Dawlish and the surrounding area. Celebrating International Artists Day gave us the perfect opportunity to highlight the talent within our community and create a welcoming space for art lovers to come together.
