Celebrating our learners: Putting down roots at Kingsbury Court for our first achiever – Nikhil Kumar – Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 – DISTINCTION!! 🥳
On Monday 8th June, our team at Kingsbury Court gathered to plant saplings in the grounds of the care home, in honour of our very first achiever Nikhil. It is a lovely way to recognise hard work, and a moment we know our colleagues, people who live with us and partners will treasure for years to come.
The celebration is part of tend® and Impact Futures Group's environmental initiative, Roots for Achievers. The idea is beautifully simple and comes in two parts. For every learner who successfully completes their programme, a tree is planted in association with the Woodland Trust
Here at MMCG, we are proud to be taking it a step further. As well as that tree planted through the Woodland Trust, we are planting our own saplings on site in the grounds of Kingsbury Court. It means our achievers can watch their trees grow right where they work, a living reminder of what our colleagues can accomplish, and something the people who live with us and teams can enjoy for generations.
Each tree represents growth, opportunity, and the lasting impact that learning can have, not only on the individual, but on their team, their community, and the planet. It is a value that sits close to our hearts here at MMCG, and we are delighted to be playing our part.
A few words from Char (Apprenticeship Lead)
We are incredibly proud of Nikhil and everything he has achieved. Seeing hard work recognised with a tree that will grow for generations to come is something truly special. This is just the beginning, and we cannot wait to celebrate many more of our wonderful colleagues.
A few words from tend®
Working alongside the team at Maria Mallaband Care Group is an absolute pleasure. Their dedication to developing their people shines through in everyone we support. Celebrating Nikhil's achievement by planting saplings in the grounds at Kingsbury Court is exactly what Roots for Achievers is all about, recognising brilliant people while doing something positive for the environment. Here's to many more achievers to come.
