Chinese New Year Celebrations at Corinthian
The residents really enjoyed the Chinese New Year celebrations. They made sparklers and lanterns and enjoyed some Chinese food. We talked about the different animals of the Chinese zodiac calendar. We found out what animals everyone was from the year they were born and coloured some pictures of them. We also listened to some Chinese music on Alexa.

Games at Croft House
We had some fun with the old games at the home this month as well as learning new technology. We played games of hoopla, tin can alley and then an afternoon of games on the tablet (squash the spider). The residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were so good at squashing the spider.

Fish and Chip Friday
We enjoyed a lovely fish supper from our local fish and chip shop in January as a treat. Every Friday at the home we enjoy Fish and Chips but this Friday we received chips from our favourite local shop. The residents had such a lovely time, eating chips out of the paper and reminiscing about childhood memories and fish and chips with their own families. It was such a wonderful lunchtime.

Weekly Tea Club
We always enjoyed going to our tea club but with COVID and the cold winter days we decided to start our own weekly tea club at the home. Our residents look forward to it each week and it’s a great opportunity to catch up with each other.

Rabbie Burns Night at Wallace View
Rabbie Burns Night at the home is always something our residents enjoy, and this year was no different. We had a piper and an accordion player to entertain our residents and lots of singing and dancing before we sat down to a supper of haggis, neeps and tatties.

Burns Supper at Thorntree Mews
We enjoyed a fabulous Burn Supper at the home to celebrate all things Rabbie Burns. We had a delicious meal of haggis, neeps and tatties with a dram of whisky to celebrate. Here is our table, all set for Burns Supper.

Postcards Of Kindness
Today we have spent the morning going through our "Postcards of kindness". Cards and letters from different people and pets from all over the country.
We have a cat called Cisco who writes and sends photos of his adventures. Our residents really enjoy the contact with the outside world. It has been amazing through all the restrictions etc.
Residents selected cards and we wrote to a few today. All ready to post now, watch out for yours arriving in the post.

Rabbie Burns Night at Parksprings
Rabbie Burns night in Scotland is always a wonderous night of celebrations at Parksprings. This year we wanted to do something a little extra special and filmed all of our wonderful residents reading the lines of a very famous song. There was amazing singing, poetry and reciting, Tartan and Haggis to bring in Rabbie Burns night in style. Our wonderful Stella from Nordoff Robbins has created a wonderful wee video for us which you can view on our Facebook page at ParkspringsCWCH.
