Ice Cream Van
Today we enjoyed the glorious weather, the sun was shining and so it was a great excuse to bring out our ice cream van. The residents enjoyed the ice cream van with traditional ice cream van music. We all enjoyed different flavoured ice cream including the 99.

Easter Celebrations!
Rodger the Rabbit and his friends paid Ashmead Care Centre a visit during the Easter Weekend. In addition to creating joy and laughter, they also treated the residents to gifts of Spring flowers and individual Easter Eggs.
Not one room, lounge or dining room were missed during this very special visit when all staff also joined in the fun of the occasion.

Good Friday Activities
On Good Friday our residents enjoyed hot cross buns while taking part in an Easter quiz. One resident said "this takes me back to when I was young" and we discussed different Easter memories. For those who preferred more art and craft, these residents coloured in Easter themed pictures and we 'planted' them around the home.
Easter Display
Woodland residents have created the most wonderful artwork for their Easter display, including chicks made from their hand prints and gorgeous bright daffodils that were suspended from the ceiling. After their hard work everyone enjoyed a special afternoon tea.

Easter Egg Delivery
We had a lovely surprise at Birch Heath Lodge the lovely ladies from Southcroft Health care dropped by with some Easter Eggs for staff and residents. A big thank you to Karen and Stacey for the lovely treat from Amalia our Home Manager and all the team at Birch Heath Lodge.

Managers Kindness
The Home Manager made a Simnel cake for the staff and residents and delivered chocolates and sweet treats to everyone. The staff loved the cake with some even thinking he had purchased it.

Homemade Cakes
Homemade Simnel cake made by the Home Manager and beautiful cupcakes made by Pam in activities.
St Patrick's Day at Buckingham
On St Patricks Day recently everyone decided to get out in the sunshine. Granted it was a bit parky but that didn't deter us at all. Everyone undertook two laps of the garden in a relay, once their laps were completed they handed the baton, so to speak, to another person. There was Irish music in the background which encouraged everyone to sing along and incorporate a little Irish jig as they completed their laps. This built up quite an appetite to enjoy the amazing Irish Beef and Guinness pie for lunch and very tasty colcannon soup to start.

Worker Bee March 2021
Vicky Swindells was voted for by staff and residents for always being cheerful and helping in any situation. David Smith was nominated by a member of the public, Dave helped the lady in distress restart her car and she took the time to ring us and let us know how helpful, polite and caring he was!
Well done and keep up the good work.
