Letters from Whyting Middle School
Astor Court and Lodge Care Home on Lamb Street in Cramlington were delighted to get a very special parcel from the pupils of Whyting Middle School and some fabulous letters and drawings which we took around to the residents so that they could see you'd been thinking of us during this time.
Thank you so much, it really brightened up our day.

Garden Party at Garden Hill
Garden Hill Care Home on St Michael's Avenue was delighted to have Kevin come and sing for us in the car park. We all pulled up a chair in the conservatory and watched as Kevin sang our favourites to us.

Keyrings for Families
Our residents are managing amazingly well and keeping busy at Windmill Court during these difficult times, but we are all missing friends and family.
We are sending these keyrings to them to let them know we are well and thinking of them.

Gardening Club
We have been spending a lot of April working on decorating our garden, making the most of the lovely sunshine.
Residents have made some lovely wind chimes which we coloured and painted birds on to hang in the garden.
This week we did the hanging baskets for the back garden and the front entrance which we decorated with ribbons.

Kind Thoughts and Good Wishes
Many kind thoughts and good wishes sent to staff and residents from our local community – thank you for your lovely cards and pictures from all at The Belvedere.

Easter Weekend at Bowerfield House
Residents and staff at Bowerfield House have been busy gardening, potting and watering plants as the weather has been lovely this April. A big thank you to one of our residents family members who donated some bedding plants as their garden centre had to close. Along with some beautiful Orchids. We have also continued to do creative arts, colour and paint.

Belmont House Hand Washing
We all know that hand washing is key at this unprecedented time and Claire our Home Manager made up a little ditty to help us wash our hands.
Sing along to the tune of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive":
First we were afraid, we were petrified
Kept thinking that this virus would just grind us down
But then we spent so many hours fighting for everybody's lives
That we grew strong and we learned how to carry on
Go on now go, walk out the door
Just keep on going cos we don't want you anymore
We will survive.
