Wishing Tree
It is very important for us at Abingdon Court to keep our residents happy and fulfil all their wishes. So the activity team, Kirsty and Mona made a Wishing Tree. The residents make a wish, write it onto a leaf and hang it on the tree. The residents love the idea and the opportunity for their wishes to come true.

Hairdressing at Howgate
We were delighted when one of our carer's came into the home and spend some one to one time with us in the hair dressing salon. We've not been able to have hair dressers into the home but as a qualified hairdresser we were delighted when Pam came in to the home and cut and blow dried our hair. Even the gentlemen had some pamper time in the hair dressers.

From our Home to your Home
It's an exciting time of year at Howgate House and this year we wanted to do something a little special for the relatives of the home. We created a lovely backdrop and photographed the residents against it to make Christmas Cards to send out from the home.
We can't wait for you to receive yours this year.

Food glorious Food
Food is such an important aspect at Belmont House. and our new Head Chef is keen to try out some new dishes. After holding a meeting with the residents they gave Joe a few suggestions to go with his new menu and this lunch was a firm favourite from the residents. You can chose to dine with us or have lunch in your room and this is one of our room service options. It looks delicious and there was many a clean plate which went back to the kitchen that day.

Poetry comes to Belmont House
We were delighted to receive a lovely poem which was sent to us from King James School Knaresborough. Thank you for thinking of us.

Heeley Bank started Bonfire Week with a BANG! Making our very own "Penny 4 Guy. The residents helped get his dressed and enjoyed having their picture taken with him.

Water Royd wave their Pom Pom's
We have lots of fun in the home at Water Royd and one of our favourite activities is exercise to music. To make it a little more fun we each have our own Pom Pom's to wave about during our favourite songs. There is always lots of giggles during the activity and we each have our favourite colours we like to use.
