Time for Church
Some of the people living with us really like to attend the local church which we organise for them. We went over this week and really enjoyed the beautiful weather we had.

101 Today!
And there we have it! George turned 101 today! And of course, there was a celebration party including George’s favourite cake, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We are all very happy that we could celebrate this special day with George!

Cranleigh Carnival
The Cranleigh Carnival managed by The Lions Club, was as an enormous success within our local community. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to display our lovely home, together with arts and crafts, prepared by our residents to raise money for Alzheimer’s. Our Cedar Court stall always attracts the attention of the locals, old and young, we had something for everyone on our charity fund raising stand.
We managed to distribute over 250 goody bags and brochures to members in our community.

Fathers Day
We wanted to celebrate the men at Water Royd on Fathers Day. Our lovely gents were given gifts from us all to celebrate the day. They received a lovely gift bag with some goodies inside which really made them smile. Our team wished them a happy fathers day and showed them their appreciation.

Volley Ball
The people living at our home really enjoyed volleyball in the lounge. We set up the lounge with the net in the middle and had two teams either side. Working as a team they had to get the ball over the net to score a point. It was a fun afternoon and we all enjoyed some lovely well deserved refreshments together after.

Day at the Beach
We got in our minibus with some of the people living with us and headed out to the seaside. It was so lovely to get to see the beach at Exmouth and see the RNLI boat. We of course finished the day with a lovely ice-cream.

Community Pro-Am Event
Cedar Court were proud to sponsor the Pro-Am Golf event at Cranleigh Golf Club on Friday 17th June. Organised by Brian Davey, Club Treasurer and Heather Kitson Club Secretary.
The event this year was to raise funds for the 'Frensham Pond Sailability Fundraising Event'. Frensham Pond is a local tourist attraction in the Surrey Hills which offers boating lessons for beginners.

Fathers Day Celebrations
We hosted an afternoon tea party to celebrate the gentleman in the home who have been fathers or that father like figure in people lives. It was a really lovely afternoon.

Target Throwing
We had a great time playing Target Throwing in our lovely garden. We had a little tournament going and everyone was very competitive with one another. They also had a lot of laughs but did get better with more practise and someone even got the bullseye!

Listening to the people who live with us
Taking the time to speak to the people who live with us at Belvoir Care Home is really important to us. We like to discuss the activities that are being provided in the home to ensure that the activities and trips that are enjoyed by all. We also ask for suggestions on where people would like to go in the future to make sure that we are visiting places of interest.
We discuss the food, the menu and ask for any feedback so that the meals that we are providing are being enjoyed by everyone and they aren't missing a favourite dish.
