Celebrating Diwali

This week, Bridge House celebrated Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, with lots of traditional decorations, food, outfits, songs and lots of light.

Everyone learnt a lot about this celebration, and enjoyed spending time with each other.

Happy Halloween

What a fun time the people living at Allingham House had together, celebrating the spookiest time of the year! A whole week of activities were planned, from displaying decorations to traditional pumpkins carving, everyone came along and had a great time together.

Mary Chapman Court's Day Trip

The people at Mary Chapman Court had a wonderful day out exploring the city of Norwich. They visited the shopping centre, Norwich Cathedral, and stopped off for drinks and cakes along the way. It was a great day to get out and about, everyone had a lovely time.

Debutots at Windsor Court

Windsor Court had another delightful morning with the Debutots. It was made extra special by witnessing one little girl's first steps, which brought such joy to those watching. It is great to see the people at Windsor Court and the children bond with each other and have fun filled mornings.

Brunel's Art Supplies

The people living at Brunel House were very fortunate to be the winners of a Meeden paint set last week! They were very pleased to see the beautiful supplies and eagerly started thinking of activities and masterpieces they could create with these!

Manorhey's Bake Off

Manorhey hosted their very own 'Bake Off' competition this week. A massive well done to Maureen for getting STAR BAKER! She made a brilliant cake, decorating it with organic raspberries and the company logo 💜✨

More Movement at Water Royd House

Water Royd House enjoy their 'More Movement' sessions twice a week as part of their lifestyle programme. This gives the people living at Water Royd important time to focus on movements and exercises to support mobility and strength. The 'More Movement' classes are also great for getting everyone together socialising and, of course, having lots of fun.

Woburn Safari Park

What a wonderful way to celebrate a 100th birthday! A day full of smiles and animal fun at Woburn Safari park with some of the people living at Wyndham Hall. From the playful monkeys, to the majestic lions, everyone had a blast exploring and making new memories together in the sunshine ☀️ 🦒

Windsor Court's Canal Boat Trip

A big thankyou to the Willow Trust for such a great day out. We spent the day on the Gloucester Sharpness Canal, cruising in their disabled access boat. A highlight was everyone getting to meet the skipper and have a go steering the boat. Another thankyou to the staff who helped get everyone ready bright and early for our 9am departure and the kitchen who made us a picnic to take. The day was a huge success, and we will be going again next summer.

Claremont Manor at the Eat Festival on the lawn

Claremont Manor enjoyed a successful outing to the Eat Festival on the lawn in Dawlish. Our chef prepared delicious shortbread biscuits, and we gave a preview of our cheese and wine evenings by serving homemade chutney with cheese and mini toast, alongside alcohol free wine.

We had some wonderful, meaningful conversations with attendees and look forward to the next event in Teignmouth in November.
