Staying Connected with Friends and Family

White Rose Lodge continues to maintain close relationships and links with the community. We celebrated V.E. Day with a gift from a friend of the home. Paul comes to the home to produce music through the use of instruments with the assistance of our residents. Paul dropped off some chocolate celebrations to be shared amongst the residents with some V.E Day activity packs and wished everyone well and spoke of looking forward to seeing them all again for their weekly samba musical workshops.

Residents were also delighted to hear from Maxine an activity coordinator here at White Rose Lodge through the Skype app and the telephone for a friendly chat and to wish everyone well. This was alongside being in her role with the church, Maxine has offered prayers and words of comfort to residents, as unfortunately Maxine can not be with us at this time.

Friends and family have also been welcomed to see residents from the garden standing on the opposite side of the fence to keep two metres apart. This has benefited both residents and visitors which has boosted residents spirits.

White Rose Lodge also enjoyed a fish and chip lunch from a local chip shop which was delivered to the home. The residents appeared to thoroughly enjoy the lunch which was also shared with our neighbours the coastguards which we sent across to them and was greatly received.
