Colin - Resident Ambassador

Please welcome Corinthian houses newest team member. We have introduced a resident ambassador into the home who will be the collective voice for the residents at family meetings. He will be called upon when visitors attend the home to give his views and experience of living here. We feel it is will bring added positivity to the home and give Colin a feeling of independence.

He is very excited about the role and is looking forward to being involved.

Colin has been asked about his role and why he feels it is important.  "I enjoy going and seeing the other residents and they enjoy talking to me. I am looking forward to giving ideas to the staff about what would be nice for the residents to do. I am also looking forward to meeting people who come to Corinthian and tell them what a lovely place it is to live”

Jade,  Lifestyle coordinator said,  “Colin was asked to be a residents ambassador as this role will suit him perfectly. He is very passionate about Corinthian and the residents and always goes out of his way to speak to them putting a smile on their faces with his jokes and stories. He always gets involved in the activities and is the weekly bingo caller. I feel by him being in this role he will bring a great amount of happiness to the home and will be a great voice for the residents”

We have also spoken with a number of the residents and everyone of them has congratulated Colin on this and think he will make a real difference.

Colin is now proudly wearing his ID badge and has his certificate on the entrance to his room so people visiting know were to go if they want to speak to him.
