We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a 5-star food hygiene rating. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible kitchen team.

Some of the people living at Windsor Court took a short minibus ride up the hill to The Priory last week to see members of the English Symphony Orchestra wind section perform a relaxed concert, as part of the Elgar Festival.

The people living at Claremont Manor have been enjoying bowls this week, with laughter echoing and competitive spirits high. Mike emerged as the champion this time, but who will it be next? Mike revealed that he used to play at Kingsteignton Bowling Club, so he might be tough to beat!

Some of the ladies from Manorhey had the chance to pay Manchester city centre a visit this week. They had a trip to Costa coffee for a hot brew and had a lovely chat about their childhoods growing up in Manchester.

Happy World Baking Day 🍰...the people who live at Water Royd got their bake on and made some delicious cookies and tray bakes on Friday morning with their Lifestyle team. Everyone who took part said how much they loved getting stuck in and enjoyed them afterwards with a lovely cuppa.

In the spirit of togetherness, let's rejoice in the traditions, flavours, and joys that Eid brings. Whether it's the aroma of delicious food, the sound of laughter echoing through the halls, or the beauty of shared stories, may this Eid be a reminder of the beauty in every moment.

Bowerfield Court celebrated National Scrabble Day by holding Scrabble competitions in their lounge this week. The people living at Bowerfield Court also enjoyed creating Scrabble artwork, connecting different words together to create beautiful masterpieces. 

Some of those living at Bowerfield Court had a delightful time celebrating International Waffle Day!
Brian was in charge of making the delicious homemade waffles with the assistance of our chef Brenden, while Glenys and Diane had the choice of many different toppings to accompany these.

Willowdene had a great arts and crafts session making Easter Bonnets. This is something they do every year, holding a competition for best hat, with prizes for the winners. 

Good luck to everyone creating Easter Bonnets! 

Water Royd care home celebrated Valentine's Day in style... they enjoyed a singalong and had strawberry and marshmallow skewers (covered in chocolate, of course!). Everyone was then treated to a Valentine's gift, and had the opportunity to take part in a Valentine's photoshoot.

Celebrating cultures is a huge part of Abingdon Court and this month they focused on the Chinese New Year! 🎉

Earsdon Grange had a great time celebrating Burns Night. They read poems, did a quiz and did some Burns Night arts and crafts. 

For tea, the people living at Earsdon Grange had haggis, tatties and leaks, and a dram of whiskey. 

Build update...

Exciting developments for Bentley Grange. 

The building is really starting to feel like a home, especially now all exterior building work is complete, and all three floors have been built.

Amber Court had a wonderful New Years Eve party for the people living with us, staff, and family and friends. 

The evening was filled with joyous singing on karaoke, lots of dancing along, and our favourite drinks as we raised a glass to 2024. 

The people living at Manorhey Care Home enjoyed a lovely day trip out to Bents garden centre where they soaked in all festive feelings as they walked around the beautifully decorated trees and festive ornaments.
