Things got OOOKY SPOOKY here at Abingdon Court, as we all gathered for some Halloween celebrations!

In the spirit of Halloween, we collected a large array of pumpkins so we could decorate the lounge ready for our Halloween.

At Highfield many of the people living with us enjoy participating in art and craft activities and this week joined into pumpkin crafting including painting, carving along with flower arranging in the pumpkins 🎃

The residents loved listening to music with a cuppa and being pampered from nails to make up in there very own beauty salon here at the Moors Care Centre.  We have lots of activities on during the week but sometimes we just enjoy some 1-1 time together having our nails done or a pamper for t

We celebrated a belated Macmillan Coffee morning in September to raise vital funds for this amazing charity and all they do to support the community.  The day of the Macmillan coffee morning coincided with our annual care awards so we decided to host this a week later so our wonderful reside

We had such a lovely afternoon watching the care awards and cheering for the nominated staff across the homes and we enjoyed a lovely buffet of the residents favourite foods.

We enjoyed celebrating the Annual MMCG and Countrywide Care Awards in September at the home.  We were joined by our wonderful residents enjoying themselves with some cocktails and we were all keeping our fingers crossed for Jodie to win the award of Activities Coordinator of the Year.

The residents at Willowbank had great fun at our Halloween party today. Thank you to our chefs David and Mario for the delicious food.

There has been plenty of activity at Oaklands this month.  We have had a Paper pumpkin making with a Royal Family quiz.  Pumpkin painting and making pumpkin faces with stickers.  Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin carving with a group singalong.

Just a little thank you to all the team at Manor Park for being so amazing at what they do. Today is cake Friday for all the staff and residents and our residents loved picking their favourite cake to enjoy with their carers on shift that day.

We were all set for our Halloween party at the home on Sunday 31st October and bought some witches hats for our residents to dress up in and be part of the fun and games we had planned.  Our wonderful kitchen team created a buffet for us and we enjoyed lots of party games and spooky Hallowee

We thought we’d set ourselves a challenge of learning the accordion at the home today.  What a chuckle we had taking turns and seeing who could make the best tune.

Victorious at Strathclyde park as we completed a successful fun day raising money for charity and giving back to our community.

We celebrated the MMCG and Countrywide 7th annual care awards in September and were delighted when Glennie House was a winner. Our very own night shift carer Kimberly McCracken, won Carer of the year 2021. So unbelievably proud to have her as part of our team. Well done Kimberly.

We celebrated Halloween at Willowdene and had lots of fun dressing up in the home.  Residents and staff dressed up and had a Halloween party.  We were entertained by Sam Naylor who was brilliant and enjoyed lots of sweets and cupcakes during the afternoon and a Halloween buffet for tea

We had a lovely afternoon being entertained by Mike Wild as Elvis outside of the home in October.  Our residents sat in the reception area of the home and Elvis performed for us in our patio garden.  There was lots of singing and we enjoyed some fresh cream cakes and tea.
