National Reflections Day is 23rd March this year and charities like Marie Curie are among many who will be supporting the millions of people who are grieving, and remembering the family, friends, neighbours and colleagues lost to the virus over the last two years.

Residents enjoyed performing the Irish Jig at Ashmead on 17th March 2022 in order to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. Residents helped prepare for the event by making their Irish hats and banners. Light refreshments, music and pleasant company all contributed to a most pleasant afternoon.

Cedar Court joined in the worldwide St Patricks Day celebrations today.  We started our day with arm travel to see the splendours of Ireland.  All dining rooms were decorated in the theme and John together with the kitchen team prepared a wonderful Irish Stew wit

Bowerfield House had a fantastic day celebrating St Patricks Day. We started our day with a gentle Irish sit down exercise class then enjoyed a lovely lunch, our chef made Irish Stew with dumplings.

For the Easter Extravaganza regional competitions first week, Birch Heath Lodge decided to make a Giant Mars bar nest. Inside the nest is chocolate and caramel moulds. Everyone is eggcited to crack open the nest and have a taste.

Yesterday we celebrated St Patricks Day .

Despite the rainy weather outside we are all smiles at our flower arranging class. All the beautiful flower arrangements created by the people living with us will be placed on the tables in our dining rooms for everyone to admire and enjoy.

We had fun today in our messy art session creating pieces inspired by Claude Monet using oil pastels and the smudge technique.

We kicked off Hydration Week with making some Fruit Infused Water. The residents picked which fruits they fancied in their glasses and tried different flavours. The residents especially enjoyed eating the juicy fresh fruit and smelling the stronger scents.

LOVELY DAY SPENT PLANTING BULBS READY FOR THE SPRING MONTHS AND MAKING BIRD BALLS VERY MESSY BUT ENYOYABLE VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY ENJOYED BY ALL.

Residents enjoyed a lovely session of Reminiscence with the Lifestyle Team this week and it was a really great time of friendship and laughter. Many residents were able to gather a few things together too to put into a personalised Memory Box and there was certainly lots of discussion.

We were so excited to be back on site to see how our beautiful home was coming along last week. Our garden's are being freshly prepared and the carpets have been fitted into our brand new luxury rooms. What a difference a few weeks make! Not long to go now.

We started the month of March by celebrating Pancake Day. Our kitchen chef prepared a various choice of syrup that our residents enjoyed. Some of them chose strawberry syrup, others had plain maple syrup, lemon glazed syrup, different kind of jams and toppings of their choice!

Staff at Allingham House really enjoyed this magnificent training and can't wait for the next sessions.

Yesterday we recognised International Women’s Day. At River View we have a team of great men working and living here, but we also have some amazing women too.

Bowerfield House loves a good competition, we had a biscuit dunking competition to see which biscuit was the toughest. We all got involved, every one had a different theory.
