MMCG Limited: Modern Slavery Statement 2018/19

This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by MMCG Limited during its financial year ending 30 April 2019 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

Our business

We are a provider of residential care and support services and, operate a number of care homes across the UK. We also acquire land and develop purpose-built care home facilities.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains include property related services (construction and maintenance), procurement of temporary/agency staff, facilities maintenance, utilities and waste management.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We have a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Modern Slavery Policy has been prepared and reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains. In addition, we continue to review other relevant policies as we are aware of the need to identify and report modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains .

We have and will continue to take further steps to combat slavery and human trafficking. This includes reviewing our standard terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure that the organisations we contract with have the same commitment to eradicating modern slavery and human trafficking as we do and obtaining information from our suppliers of staff about to determine the risk profile for their organisation and the staff they source and provide to us. We have introduced compulsory training on Modern Slavery, across the board to ensure our staff teams are equipped to ensure compliance with our Modern Slavery Policy and also continue to review and update our Company policies as needed to ensure continual compliance.

This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year commencing 1 May 2018 and ending 30 April 2019. Our senior management team have the general responsibilities for compliance with our Modern Slavery Policy
