My Name is Di Cameron and I am a fully qualified nurse, with many years experience. I am proud to be the care manager of the prestigious Gateford Hill Care Home here in Worksop. My Role is to manage the daily operations within our home and ensure our residents experience exceptional and professional person-centred care. Their well-being and the quality of care is my priority, ensuring the lifestyle choices and dignity of our residents at all times. We provide first class residential and nursing care in a warm, homely environment in a beautiful location. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of the residents and are committed to providing respectful and professional care, with the resident at the heart of everything we do .

Gateford Hill offers residential, dementia and nursing care to 64 residents both Elderly and Younger Physically Disabled. Our home is the former family residence of the Machin Family and the original building was built in 1824, set in 30 acres, including a tennis court and a walled garden.

Gateford Hill provides a level of service you would expect in such stately surroundings, we are well known and respected within the local and professional community. Our residents are supported to remain as independent as possible and community access is promoted on a daily basis.

We were delighted with the outcome of the July 2016 CQC inspection and are committed to working with our residents, their families, and Health & Social Care professionals to continually improve and develop our services.

We were pleased with many of the positive observations the CQC noted in their report, including:

-People’s choices, likes and dislikes were respected and people were treated in a kind and caring manner.

-People’s privacy and dignity was supported and staff were aware of the importance of promoting people’s independence.

-People felt the management team were approachable and their opinions were taken into consideration. Staff felt they received a good level of support and could contribute to the running of the service.
