Welcome to Corinthian House
Hello my name is Heather McGrath and I am the Registered Care Manager.
I qualified in 1992 working for 9 years in the NHS on a surgical ward. During this time I learnt how to care for people in difficult situations, how to support them through their illness and end of life care. I then moved into the private sector working in care homes where I commenced as a Deputy and then subsequently a Manager. I have been a Care Manager since 2004 working in various locations.
My aim as the Care Manager is to bring a relaxed friendly homely atmosphere whereby my residents are treated as if they are in their own home and that we, the staff are visitors.
Corinthian House is a purpose built home situated in Upper Wortley, Leeds and is set in one and a half acres of private landscaped grounds. The home specialises in the provision of Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care for up to 67 residents. We have a number of communal areas throughout the home including a spacious lounge and dining room on each floor, a bright and airy conservatory and an on-site hairdressing salon. All bedrooms are en-suite and bathing and shower facilities are available on each floor.
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and complete dedication to the needs of the residents.
Corinthian House provide quality care, stimulating activities and regular outings. We also hold regular coffee mornings and events to which the local community are always welcomed.
We look forward to meeting you and your family and will be happy to show you around our wonderful home.
