Welcome to Batley Hall

Batley Hall provides a wide range of care services, including nursing, respite, intermediate, convalescence and residential/personal. We are continuously reviewing and extending our quality control procedures and systems to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
Residents enjoy home-cooked, freshly prepared nutritious food, which is tailored to the residents likes and dietary requirements.

Batley Hall is located between Leeds and Wakefield.
The building is an impressive two-storey 19th-century Victorian manor house and benefits from far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
The home can accommodate 51 elderly people in single bedrooms, most of which have en-suite facilities
Residents can relax in one of the home’s many communal areas, including the spacious sun lounge with views across the gardens. Batley Hall also has two dining rooms, two quiet lounges and an on-site hairdressing salon.
Situated close to Batley town centre, the home is within walking distance of local shops, library and doctors surgery. We maintain strong links with the local community and our Activities Co-ordinator provides residents with the choice of a huge variety of creative and fun activities.

We were pleased with many of the positive observations the CQC noted in their report, including:

  • We asked people whether they felt safe living at Batley Hall Nursing and Residential Home. A person we asked said, “Yes, I do.” Another said, “Yes, I feel safe.” A relative told us, “My [name of relative] is safe and happy here.”

  • Staff interactions with people were caring and people appeared at ease in staff presence. People and relatives told us staff were caring. Staff treated people with dignity and respect. People’s cultural and religious needs were considered.

  • Catering staff were aware of people’s specific dietary requirements. The cook told us they were, “very happy with the quality and quantity of ingredients and food.” The most recent food hygiene rating was five, which equates to, ‘Very good.’
