Care group supports The Trust in Yorkshire

The Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG) is delighted to support youth charity The Prince's Trust, which helps thousands of disadvantaged young people across Yorkshire and The Humber each year.

Over the last 12 months The Trust has supported 4,490 young people in Yorkshire and The Humber with more than three in four of those going into work, education or training.

As a patron of The Trust, MMCG has helped change hundreds of young lives across the region, giving young people the skills and confidence to turn their lives around.

This year MMCG has helped support three of The Trust's programmes including xl clubs and the Get Started scheme.

The xl programme helps youngsters who are struggling at school or at risk of underachievement. Get Started helps to engage and develop young people through sport, music, fashion and the arts.

Chairman and CEO of MMCG Phil Burgan, visited several Prince's Trust courses this year including Get Started with Football at Sheffield Wednesday Football and an xl club in Rotherham.

He said: "There are motivated young people out there who want to get into work, but feel it will be impossible for them to achieve their ambitions.

"The Prince's Trust gives them the support they need to turn things around and we're proud to be a patron of such a worthy cause."

Since the charity was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, it has helped over 650,000 young people across the UK and continues to support 100 more every working day.

This summer The Trust is celebrating it's 35th anniversary. To get involved and have the chance of winning some great prizes visit: www.facebook.com/princestrust
