Welcome to Batley Hall Nursing and Residential Home
My name is Alison Sowden and I am the Care Manager at Batley Hall nursing and residential home. I have worked at Batley Hall for the past six years, and the last two have been as Care Manager. I am a Registered Nurse with almost 30 years varied experience, having worked locally as an operating theatre nurse, on general medicine and surgical wards, paediatrics and within nursing home settings.
I have a genuine care and compassion for our residents, I co-ordinated our home to acheive accreditation with The Gold Standards Framework, and I beleive entirely in their ethos which is 'to help people live well until they die', whether that be days, weeks, months or years.
I am particularly keen that we provide the highest standards of care that we can, as people approach the end-of-life by fulfilling physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
Batley Hall is a beautiful old building that has undergone sympathetic renovation and modernisation. I am continually working towards improving standards across all aspects of care in our home and we aim to offer holistic person-centred care.
