Appletree is located in the centre of the village of Meadowfield, just three miles from the centre of Durham.
The home can accommodate up to 57 elderly people in its modern two-storey building. All bedrooms are single and have ensuite facilities.
The home features three dining rooms, four lounges, a patio courtyard and a coffee room. There is also an enclosed courtyard for residents' and visitors' use.
Appletree is located within walking distance of the local shops, doctors' surgery and pharmacy. It is also on a regular bus route into the city centre.
The home provides residential/personal services and respite care, and can accommodate individuals with physical disabilities. It also has a dedicated dementia unit called the Acorn Suite.
