About Willowdene Care Home
Willowdene Care Home provides a variety of high quality care services in its modern facility. The home also has a specialist unit for the care of residents with dementia called the Maple Suite.
Willowdene Care Home is located between Sedgefield and Fishburn in Teesside. It is set back from the main road and nestled in charming rural countryside. There are frequent buses to local villages and nearby towns and cities, including Durham and Sunderland. Conveniently, a bus stop is located just outside of the home, which also allows for easy access for visitors.
Willowdene provides residential/personal care, day care, dementia care, nursing, palliative care and respite care. After a complete refurbishment, Willowdene was reopened by former Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The home can accommodate up to 48 elderly people. Most of the spacious single bedrooms have en-suite facilities. The modern lounge and dining room on the ground floor feature stunning views of the gardens, and also provide access to a large conservatory and patio area. A second dining room, a smokers lounge and an informal seating area are located on the first floor. The home also benefits from an on-site hairdressing salon.
We are continuously reviewing and extending our quality control procedures and systems to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
