Welcome to Furze Hill Lodge
My name is Joan Goliath and I am the Care Manager for Furze Hill Lodge. I joined the Maria Mallaband Care Group in 2010. Prior to that, I worked in an EMI home as Registered Manager for 4 years. I have LMC in Health and Social Care and am an Assessor in NVQ 1, 2 and 3.
I have a number of years working with the elderly in Mental Health and Dementia care. I came to the UK in 2003 from South Africa, where I worked with elderly clients in the Mental Health sector. I come from a background where high standards are expected and where an excellent reputation is a 'must'.
I work with staff to ensure that we maintain standards as a team. We work closely with outside agencies such as GP practices, social workers and other professionals to ensure that we deliver the care that our clients want and need.
Furze Hill Lodge is a Tudor style residence located in the attractive Surrey village of Kingswood and we provide residential/personal care, day care and respite care for 29 residents.
