Welcome to Abbey View Nursing Home
Hello. My name is Jaya Shree Kuttippurath and I am the Registered Manager of Abbey View Nursing Home, Bangor. I have been practicing for 15 years. By way of background, I have a Masters Degree in Community Health Nursing (India) and I am currently doing a Masters Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice (Queens University, Belfast).
I have worked as a Staff Nurse, Clinical Instructor and Nursing Tutor in India (8 years). I have been Staff Nurse and Sister in an EMI unit and then worked as a Deputy Manager and onto Manager (all within nursing homes in Belfast).
The system in India is very different to here - you are required to gain experience in all departments, hence my experience has been in various departments including: A&E, Gynaecology, Surgical, Psychiatric, Medical and Out-patient departments.
Abbey View is a 25 bedded nursing home located in a residential area on Newtownards Road, Bangor; close to the historic Bangor Abbey and the beautiful Elizabethan Revival Style Town Hall. We provide nursing, convalescence, palliative, residential and respite care. Abbey View can accommodate up to 25 elderly people. All of the single bedrooms feature ensuite facilities. A double ensuite room is also available for couples.
Abbey View has a relaxed homely atmosphere and a dedicated team of ‘very caring staff’. A comprehensive range of activities are provided in the home, tailored to the specific needs of residents. We use all locally sourced fresh fruit, vegetables and meat and all of our meals are prepared in-house by our chefs on a daily basis.
Our aim is to ensure that the residents feel at home and that we deliver the highest standards of care.
