Welcome to Monread Lodge Nursing Home
My name is Sophia Roxas and I am the Care Manager of Monread Lodge Care Home and Knebworth Court Dementia Unit. I have been working in this home since 1999 and as a Deputy Manager from January 2010 until I was promoted to the Care Manager in July 2010.
Monread Lodge is a purpose built care home that caters for nursing, palliative care, residential/personal care, day care and respite care. We have just opened a brand new dementia wing named Knebworth Court, in October 2010 accommodating 16 residents in lovely appointed en-suite rooms.
I have the Assessors award for mentorship and am qualified to train the staff in various aspects of basic Health and Safety, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Fire Safety and Infection Control. I have recently completed my Leadership Award and am looking forward to obtaining my Registered Mental Nurse Qualification.
I am a hands-on Manager who ensures that I know my service users needs by helping the rest of my caring team to make the best individualised and personalised care plans for them.
