Welcome to Windmill Court Care Home
Hello my name is Angie Brown and I have recently taken up the post of Matron/Registered Manager at Windmill Court Nursing Home, St Minver, Nr Wadebridge, Cornwall. I am a Registered Nurse with 39 years of experience, mostly in the NHS. I have held a number of senior posts both in Acute Hospitals and Community Services.
I worked as a Senior Nurse for Acute Medicine and Care of the Older Person at Frenchay Hospital and at the United Bristol Hospitals Trust for a number of years.　 I retired in 2008 after five years as the Executive Nurse of the South Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust. More recently I have been working as a lecturer in Health and Social at Cornwall College.
I am a "Cornish Girl" who has returned to her roots in 2009 after over 36 years away. I am looking forward to this new chapter in my career, and I am very happy to have come to Windmill Court where high quality care is provided through a very dedicated and hard working team of Registered Nurses and Carers. Together with an equally dedicated and hard working team of support staff.
I know that I will enjoy working with the team to maintain the already high standards here and to lead the team in clinical and other developments which will enhance the resident’s experience at Windmill Court.
