Welcome to Bowerfield House
Welcome to Bowerfield House. My name is Lorraine Price and I am the new Care Manager at Bowerfield House. I joined the Maria Mallaband Care Group in January 2012. I have had many years experience working within the NHS setting, starting life as a nursing Auxiliary before training as a Registered Nurse in 1994.
For the past 11 years, I have worked for Health Care groups within the private sector in both Deputy Manager and Home Manager roles.
In 2002, I achieved my HNC in Managing Health and Care Services, and in 2006 I achieved the Leadership in Dementia Care Certificate. For the last 4 years, I have worked extensively with people living with Dementia, and recognise and practice the Person Centred Care ethos.
A passion of mine is the positive effects experienced through the use of Complementary Therapies, and am a Qualified Practitioner of Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Nutritional Therapy.
My aim is to always raise the profile of the positivity of caring for our residents as individuals in a stimulating environment, and involving their families and friends in doing so to provide a home-from-home environment in which they are settled, happy and part of an extended family.
Bowerfield House provides a variety of care services at its location in the centre of High Lane. The home has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and promotes independence.
The home provides dementia nursing, day care and respite care for up to 26 residents.
