Heeley bank care home are busy preparing for the grand opening of their sensory garden on the 17th of June. The garden, previously a simple patio, is the brainchild of activities co-ordinators Tina Johnson and Penny Count who have worked tirelessly to fundraise for it. The homes residents have been getting involved with the potting and planting, and an enthusiastic gardening club as come into being.
The Manager of Heeley bank , Shelagh says; “ its wonderful to see some many people getting involved and volunteering their time, the family of one of the residents has given us a hand-crafted bird table , another generously donated plants and cuttings , I’m incredibly proud of what my team have achieved in such a short time “
