We hope that you all had an enjoyable Easter! (Despite the bad weather – We only had a sunny day on Good Friday).
A very busy week, here at Belvoir Vale, with Easter decorations throughout the week. There were displays in all the houses, including craft and egg painting by the residents.
We had the weekly Keyworth Day Centre Excursion on Tuesday, Aerobics with Natalie on Wednesday, in Rutland. Thursday we had a visit from David Fox, The Magician! This was well supported and enjoyed by our residents. On Good Friday we celebrated with Hot Cross Buns and Simnel Cakes. We had aerobics in the morning in Granby, followed by singing, with Janet at piano, in the afternoon with a glass of wine to refresh the vocal cords!! The weather was beautiful, so we made the most of it, with walks in the gardens.
Saturday was another busy day, lots of fun and laughter and Music, and Easter flower arrangements. Many residents had visitors.
On Sunday, we had an early morning Easter Egg delivery for everybody – The ‘Choc Fest’ was much enjoyed! Our Chefs produced a wonderful Easter Sunday roast lunch, accompanied by bubbly.
The Easter Church Service followed. This was well attended by many, including relatives. Thank you to Jane, for playing the piano and to Paul for taking the Service. The Easter decorations, flowers, and Easter Garden all added tot eh occasion, and the event was very special.
We are now looking forward to April’s events, and we are already enjoying the brighter evenings not that the clocks have changed!
Until next time…
