Every year MMCG homes take time out of their busy days to ensure there are plenty of activities and events happening in their homes, to commemorate Dignity in Care with their residents, which is on 1st February.
Dignity in Care is a nationwide movement and collectively it is to ensure people have a good experience of care and improve the lives of patients using care services.
Dignity in Care Day is to:
Raise awareness of dignity in care;
Inspire local people to take action;
Share good practice and give impetus to positive innovation;
Transform services by supporting people and organisations in providing dignified services;
Reward and recognise those people who make a difference and go that extra mile.
Events and activities are often planned for this day and can range from a Tea Dance to a local School visit.
