On Tuesday 1st April, residents at Bowerfield Court enjoyed a morning of floor darts and quoits. We had a great time and we were all impressed how much we had all improved by getting very high scores. As always prizes were won for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, which were greatly received.

On Wednesday 26th March, residents enjoyed being entertained by Guy Stewart a vocalist who sang an array of songs by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bauble and many more. Residents received instruments from Guy to play and join in with the music, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all, were looking forward to his future return.

On Wednesday 26th March residents enjoyed there monthly manicure session followed by a morning of bingo where prizes were won by getting a full line or house. Residents enjoyed the morning, and prizes were greatly received.

On Wednesday 19th March Bowerfield Court hosted an afternoon Tea Party to celebrate National Nutrition and Hydration week. it was a great turn out and enjoyed by all our residents and guests.

On Tuesday 18th March, residents enjoyed preparing for our tea party tomorrow for national nutrition and hydation week. We had a morning of baking scones, jam tarts and buns. We are all looking forward to our tea party and trying our tasty treats.

On Sunday 16th March Bowerfield Court celebrated a residents 50th birthday, Paul Burns received plenty of cards and a 50th birthday mug from Bowerfield Court, residents enjoyed a birthday tea with party food and cake. A vintage car also arrived for residents to look at and admire, it was a great day and paul thorughly enjoyed it aswell as our residents.

On Monday 17th March Bowerfield Court celebrated St Patricks day. Residents were entertained by Jamie Burney a violin / fiddle player who played a selection of Irish music. Residents also enjoyed Irish stew for lunch and Irish Brack for tea. The dining room and tables were decorated with Irish flags and also four leaf clovers were hung around the room.

All Maria Mallaband & Countrywide Care Homes will be taking place in a Easter Competition, over the next few weeks. The focus for each home is to get everyone involved in making Easter decorations and to plan lots of activities for the residents based around Easter time. Judging will take place at the end of April and the winners will be presented with prizes for their achievements. Good luck.

On Wednesday 12th March residents had there morning holy communion followed by entertainment with Sandra a vocalist from a sentimental journey.Residents were handed out maracas and joined in with the songs vocally and musically, the theme was " oh i do like to be beside the seaside". It was good old fashioned seaside songs and sea shanties, with seaside sound effects. Sandra also bought along charlie the tuneful seagull. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
