The entrance at Bowerfield Court has certainly been given the 'WOW FACTOR' with all the beautiful flowers and plants for the doorstep challenge. Good Luck!

Each year our homes all participate in the 'Doorstep Challenge'. All homes were given a budget of  £100 to spend however they wished, whether it be on seeds, flowers or plants to make the entrance to the homes look colourful, bright and attractive. This is a brilliant way to get everyone involved and the residents love watching the flowers and seeds flourish over the months. There will be an overall winner and three regional winners, which will be judged in the next few weeks.

The Grapevine News - Edition 13 (Summer) is now available to read via the News Tab on our website. Thanks to all our care homes who have provided us with news and photos for this edition.

As you will read, our focus this quarter has been about how our homes celebrated the Queens Jubilee this summer, amongst other pieces such as Dementia Awareness Week and details about our luxury 5 star Westbourne Villas in Holmes Chapel. These are ready to move into now and are on sale starting @ £179,500.

One of our residents wife Anne, is helping us keep our reception area and her husband's room looking colourful with a lovely floral arrangement. This is something that Anne really enjoys,  has met alot of people and has fun taking part in. Anne has also started to help some of the other residents in the home design their own floral arrangements.

Some of the residents at Bowerfield Court enjoyed flower arranging yesterday with many different colourful displays.

The residents are also looking forward to the planned trip out to Knowsley Safari Park next week.

Throughout the day on Thursday 21st June and Friday 22nd June, Jackie, Care Manager is arranging for all the carers to enjoy an Indian head massage or hand massages to, as part of Carers Week 2012.

The residents at Bowerfield Court celebrated the Jubilee with a big lunch. We all tucked into sandwiches, sausage rolls, and cream cakes. Thank you to everyone that joined us for the celebrations, all the residents had a lovely day.

A great day had by all!
