Dignity Day at Abbey View
Dignity Day at Abbey View in Northern Ireland saw the arrival of lots of farmyard animals, many only weeks old. Lambs, puppies, guinea pigs and chicks were all petted, fussed and fed by the residents and it brought back lots of childhood memories for all.
Relatives were invited along to join in the fun and a coffee morning was also held on the day to raise funds for the Dignity Campaign.
The residents have also been busy preparing Lavender bags from organic Lavender, net, lace, ribbon and hand made tags which were all sold on Mothering Sunday to raise money for the Resident's Comfort Fund.
There are lots of activities taking place at Abbey View including fundraising for the Haiti Appeal.
The next celebration is St Patrick's Day and the residents have been making their own shamrocks and St Patrick's Day cards.
