At Furze Hill Lodge we had our around the world weekend challenge this weekend so last week we had a brainstorming session with some of the residents and the Chef and came up with different meal ideas from different countries to have for lunch on each of the days. We started in England with good old fish and chips, then Saturday we flew to Italy and had spaghetti bolognaise. Then we went to India and enjoyed a chicken korma, and then back to Ireland for a lovely Irish stew complete with colcannon. Finally to end our travels we went to China and ate beef chow mein with noodles and a vegetable spring roll. All the residents enjoyed having these different meals but the favourite by far was the fish and chips.
